Roofing in Baldwin Park, CA: Repair, Replacement and Inspection
Call (626) 593-1910 for a free estimate on repair or replacement work.
(626) 593-1910A roofing call can start with something you noticed from the ground. It might be a ceiling stain, a slipped tile, or an estimate that did not add up. We are West Covina Roofing Contractor, and Baldwin Park sits inside the area we serve.
This page explains how we look at a roof, what we can quote, and what to send us. Call (626) 593-1910 whenever you want a free estimate on repair or replacement work.

Roof repair, replacement and inspection
We repair, replace and inspect roofs on homes and commercial buildings, across asphalt, flat, tile and metal systems.
Leaks are one reason people call us about a roof. A leak can trace back to flashing, a slipped tile, or a small area of failed covering. Our roof repair page explains how we scope those smaller jobs.
Replacement is a different decision, and it usually follows age or repeated repairs on the same roof. Our roof replacement page covers tear-off, decking and the new covering in more detail.
Homes and commercial buildings both fit here, including flat and low-slope commercial roofs.
The roof systems we work on
We work on asphalt shingle, flat and low-slope, tile and metal roofing systems.
Asphalt shingle work runs from a small patch to a full tear-off and re-roof. Flat and low-slope roofs are usually torch-down modified bitumen, which is our standard flat system. Metal means standing seam panels, joined by raised seams with concealed fasteners.
How we quote a roof here
Clear satellite imagery can support a quote on existing roof work, without a first visit.
That approach does not fit every roof, and we quote new construction from the plans you supply. Send the exact street address of the property, not only the ZIP code.
The estimate we give you for repair or replacement work is free. A documented inspection report for escrow, or for an insurer that requires one, is separate and paid. That fee moves with the size of the roof and the number of stories.
Our roof inspection page explains what that report includes and when people order one. Call (626) 593-1910 if you are not sure which of the two you need.
What changes the price
Roofers price by the square, and one roofing square covers 100 square feet of roof area.
A quote counts the squares first, then the work each square actually needs. Flashing seals the joints where a roof meets a wall, a chimney or a valley. Those transitions are a leading origin of leaks, so repair work often starts there.
Decking is the structural board layer under the covering, and it carries everything above it. Rot hidden in that decking is the most common reason a quoted scope changes.

Tile roofs and underlayment
Tile can outlast the underlayment beneath it, so a tile roof is not always a replacement job.
Underlayment is the water protection layer under the tile, and tile can outlast it by decades. That is why a tile roof can get new underlayment instead of a full replacement.
A lift and relay takes the tile off in sections and replaces the underlayment. We repair damaged decking at the same time, then restack the tile that is still suitable. We replace broken or unsuitable pieces.
Ask about that option if your tile still looks sound but the roof keeps leaking.
What to have ready when you call
A few details move a roofing call along much faster than a general description.
A 91706 address and a 91746 address both get the same first step from us. The street address, not the ZIP code, tells us which roof we are pricing.
- The exact street address of the property.
- What you can see, such as a stain, a drip, or missing shingles.
- Whether the building is one story or two stories.
- Whether you need the work done, or paperwork for escrow or an insurer.
Before you hire a roofer
Check the contractor license number of anyone who bids your roof, including us.
We work under CSLB #1112525, and you can confirm that number before work starts. You can check the license yourself through the state contractor board's lookup tool.
